About me

I was born 1975 in Düsseldorf, Germany. I studied for two years at the Art Students League of New York and at the Repin Academy of Art in St. Petersburg, Russia for 6 years. With my husband and son we live in a little house in the forest in Bavaria, Germany.

Like the impressionists I go to the places I feel inspired and like to paint directly from life.

From early on I was fascinated by light and colour. I try to translate the beauty and emotions I find everywhere into a painting, which are evident, not only in people, but also in landscapes and even stilllifes.
I paint portrait comissions and sometimes of famous people from politics, church and economy like the official portrait of former Govennor Angus King, the official portrait of the former bishop Johannes Friedrich and the bishop Heinrich Bedford-Strohm from the Anglican Church Bavaria. I also paint stillifes, animals and landscapes.
